历史名城——长沙

  古城“长沙”始于两周，迄今已有三千多年历史。它有着灿烂的古代文化，古迹遍布，人文荟萃，英雄辈出，有“潇湘洙泗”及“革命摇篮”之称。这里北瞰洞庭，南依衡岳，湘江纵贯南北。境内丘陵起伏，河川交错，山、河、洲、原、湖、城融为一体，是我国南方一座美丽的古城。著名的古迹和旅游景点有岳麓山、岳麓书院、马王堆、开福寺、天心阁等。湘菜、湘绣、湘戏具有浓郁的湖湘文化特色。
    Ancient city“Changsha” got its name since the Eastern and Western Zhou Dynasty more than 3,000 years ago. It boasts its brilliant ancient civilization and historical sites scattered around. Numerous talents and heroes were born here and made it a name of “Zhusi of Hunan” and “the cradle for revolutionists”. Looking to Dong Ting River to the north and Mt.Hengshan to the south, the city is crossed through from the south to the north by Xiang River. The city features rolling hills, interwoven rivers and lakes, and combines mountain, river, island, plain, lake, and city in one. It is so called a beautiful city in the south of China. The famous historical sites and scenic attractions are listed below: Mt.Yuelushan, Yuelu Academy, Mawangdui tomb, Kaifu Temple, and Tianxin Mansion, etc. Local Xiang cuisine, embroidery textile, Xiang plays are of profound cultural background.
