开平碉楼

 提起中国的碉楼，人们就会想到开平碉楼。作为一个著名的华侨之乡、建筑之乡、艺术之乡和碉楼之乡，开平生态环境优美，侨乡风情独特，与周边的村落、稻田、小桥、流水、蓝天、白云相互映衬，构成一道奇特而美丽的景观。“开平碉楼与村落”被联合国教科文组织列入《世界遗产名录》，成为中国第三十五处世界遗产，成为一处闻名遐迩的旅游风景地。

    Mentioning Diaolou, people will think of the fortified watchtowers in Kaiping. Reputed as a hometown for overseas Chinese and the village for architecture, art and fortified towers, Kaiping boasts beautiful environment and unique customs. The village, paddyfield, little bridge, river, the blue sky and the white clouds form special but idyllic scenery.  In 2007, “Diaolou and Village in Kaiping” was inscribed in the list of World Heritage by UNESCO, the 35th world heritage for China. It has gradually become a well known scenic spot.
