千年古镇——乌镇

  江南古镇。简单、淳朴而不失历史厚重；澄净、清幽却透出水乡灵秀。乌镇，便是这样一个地方。千百年来，这里的民居临河而建，傍河而市。迤逦的古驳岸、水阁和廊棚透出悠悠的韵味。除了小桥、流水、人家的水乡风情和精巧雅致的民居建筑之外，乌镇更多地飘逸着一股浓郁的历史和文化的气息。

   Ancient towns in the south of China are always characteristic for simplicity, tranquility, and elegance. Wuzhen is such a place. Within hundreds of years, the residences have been standing along the banks. Except for the little bridge, flowing water and residences which are commonly seen in other watery towns, Wuzhen seems to contain richer historic and cultural flavors.
