新西兰——但尼丁

   位于新西兰南岛东南方的但尼丁是奥塔哥地区的商业中心，在这个立体的城镇，街道沿着地势斜坡而建，整座城市坐落在被树林覆盖的山坡上，与一个优美的海港相连。但尼丁是新西兰最为古老的城市之一，早期有许多苏格兰人移居新西兰并定居在这里，因此使但尼丁充满了浓浓的苏格兰风情，被喻为“苏格兰以外最像苏格兰”的外国城市，其市名在塞尔特语中就是“爱丁堡”之意。整个城市为典型的苏格兰风格，到处耸立着十九世纪爱德华式的建筑物，它的精致与美在南半球是无与伦比的。
        Dunedin, is the second-largest city in the South Island of New Zealand, and the principal city of the region of Otago. The city stands on the hills and valleys surrounding the head of Otago Harbour. The harbour and hills are the remnants of an extinct volcano.The city of Dunedin was named after Edinburgh. Then there is Invercargill, right down at the southernmost tip of S. Island, which resembles a Scottish town in some way, ---- The cityscape glitters with gems of Victorian and Edwardian architecture in the 19th century.
